Turkey Creek ~ Jacuzzi Suite

Dear Friends,

Last week I celebrated my anniversary with Mark. We have been married longer than we were single. When we bid on and won a 2 night stay at a Jacuzzi Suite at a charity fundraiser last Fall, we felt like this would be the perfect way to use it. Even though we are not big Branson fans we were ready to give it a whirl. We arrived in Branson, checked in, and went to check out the suite, did I say

it was a Jacuzzi Suite??...

And that is what it was...

a bed

and a jacuzzi!

Nothing else unless you count the microwave on top of the portable refrigerator

and the small bath. To make it even more fun we decided to check out

the Branson Landing and

on our way there we passed over a creek called

Turkey Creek.

(you cannot make up better names for some of our Ozark places)

So we made a song up about our jacuzzi suite on Turkey Creek to the tune

of the old song Rocky Top.

And I remembered why I married Mark in the first place

he knows how to make me happy and laugh,

always laugh in every bizarre situation we encounter.

And you can't ask for a better companion than that

because life is so full of bizarre situations!

Dear Friends,

You may have noticed my new banner,

after finding this vintage photo of this

little miss ~ I knew she was

my summer banner girl!

After fashioning a banner for her ~

I needed a quote.

When I couldn't find one that I felt fit her,

I made up my own.

Then that got me started on this post ~

Life is so full of sweet things

as we look around in our lives,

and that is my hope and prayer for you

That you would savor the sweet things

all around you everyday.

At mid-summer I am always in a rush to get

everything I wanted to do in... and sometimes

I may miss that one person, that one sunrise,

that one magical just for me moment

that makes our lives more meaningful

and worthwhile.

So I am wishing time to savor

these things for you today!
