~**Heart ~^~HaPPening**~

Friday night I was invited to a Christmas Party
at Daybreak Adult DayCare.
Husband Mark is a Development Director for
a non-profit ministry.  Daybreak is one of the ministries
housed under his work umbrella.

Let me tell you... They had the Christmas Spirit going on!

Adults of all ages dressed in Santa ties, Santa hats,
Santa sweaters, jingle bells, lighted necklaces and pins.
Laughter ebbed and flowed along with wide smiles
and tight hugs, and an occasional joyful yell.

Before we ate our soup and veggies,
we had a program performed by the community
of clients that attend Daybreak.

The Christmas story was read and loudly cheered
and was well received by all.  Favorite hymns and carols
were sung with remarkable enthusiasm!

We shared a table with Annie and Brian.
Two young adults who live very simple lives
yet they were so rich in grace
and family love.

I blinked back tears and thought about
how complicated I tend to make things
(especially this time of the year)
when it is all so simple...
just a few things are really needed
 to fill us with joy!!!

I don't think I could ever be more joyful
than the lady in the back row
who was rocking it out
to Jingle Bells.
(but I am going to try really hard!)

Here's to wishing you joy
this week, this season,
and
Always!
