".. from my ragged heart to yours"

September 12, 2010

~ "Love Thy Neighbor.."

~ is a precept which could
transform the world
if it were universally practiced.

-Mary McLeod Bethune

I found this quote especially meaningful
this 9/11 weekend.

Leolas had it's Fall Open House
this weekend ~ and
everything looked
wonderful!

The gals were decked in their Fall decor
and I just couldn't resist buying some
treasures of my own ~

It was nice to have a beautiful quiet
weekend.  School is beginning to settle
down into a nice routine. Thanks for all
of your kind remarks on my last post.

Here is a photo of my latest creation...

I haven't had much time to create,
and I am thinking that if I did, it might help with all of
this stress.  But I am looking forward to creating more
collages with some of the techniques gained with KC's class.

I am trying to get around to visiting all of
my blog friends this week.  I cannot wait to hear
and see what you have been doing!

Blessings to You,

Katie

Wow, that must be what is up with me. Stress relief x's 100! I have been very inspired for the last several weeks and just keep making all kinds of things. I am even trying my hand at paper asseblages. Not victorian ones like yours yet coz they are for a college craft show. I just hope I have picked themes the kids will like. Check out my latest post and tell me what you think?

I love your header too & I definitely love my neighbors (I think I can call you two my neighbors). You always make Leola's look so good in your photos. You & Dulcy are the best -- you're always there for us & we sooooooo appreciate it. Thanks! Jan

The header is great! Would have loved to visit Leola's for the open house. Mindy and I enjoyed our visit so much last time. But we are busy getting ready for the big Fall show at Warrenton in a couple weeks. Whew!

I must admit that cutie pie is NOT really me ~ this is an old school photo from who knows who school? Just part of my vintage collection. However, if you want to see me at age 6 go to my studio blog and look on the sidebar at the gal in the plaid blouse with the look that says "If you take another picture of me right now ~ I will scream!" But I would have liked to have looked like her!

Love your latest piece! I'm glad you are settled into a routine at school. It's always hard to start a new year, I'm sure. I am also getting into a routine with home schooling, this being our second week now. Take care and can't wait to see what you come up with next.

I love the new blog header-I think I recognize a few kids here and there. Sorry to hear of your recent troubles. I do hope that things are better for you now. Your Leola's pics are gorgeous. I knew that had to be where they were taken before I even saw it written. Have a wonderful weekend...
