so lovely. i just noticed you link to shane claiborne and the simple way. i am a huge admirer of both, and have been doing a lot of pondering and reading about gen X and the emergent church.

What great pictures you take. You always make us feel good. You can add to your list: hanging sheets on the line, cranking up the barbecue grill, raking the leaves off my flower beds & getting those flannel sheets off the bed. Have a good weekend. Jan

Oh Katie - the photos are gorgeous - I want to go too! And I hear you on the pedicure.
Signs of spring here, well, you left a lovely comment on my post - spring, red things - and my wild attempt at making the metaphor work:)
So glad you're enjoying the changing days...
hugs.

Such a lovely post and pretty pics! Ahhh spring....here in VA, the daffs are blooming, crocus too, some trees are beginning to blossom. I thought I hear the peepers (frogs) down by the creek, but poor things it's only 30 degrees tonite, guess they'll slip back into the mud until the sun shines again....longer days...what's not to Love :)

My signs of spring are fresh cotton sheets, freshly cut lawn, packing away winter sweaters and dyeing wool in lovely shades of spring.

I LOVE Leols'a style!!!!! Pattern tissue flowers? GENIUS! Now why didn't I think of doing that? I love pattern tissue! Thanks for sharing.

Signs of spring? The yellow flame of a blooming forsythia in the otherwise dreary landscape. Brings back memories of childhood Easters.

Hey Girl,
I always love visiting your blog, you have great photos and writings on here.

Spring is a time of sitting in my swing with my shoes off. Watching dogs lay on their backs in the sun and just wiggle. Walking out of the house for church on Sunday mornings and being greeted by a light breeze and kissed by the sun.

have a great day.
Charlie

I just found your blog through Janet at Lavender Loft! I'm so glad I did. Your pictures and words are so inspirational - I'll be back. (The first signs of Spring for me here in Wisconsin are robins and crocuses!)

Now, you just touched some heartstrings!!! A pedicure!!! It's been a few weeks!!! I was just looking at the porch rockers...in need of cleaning for sure...I did get one packet of seeds planted this morning in my little "wagon" container...sweet alyssum...Hard to believe that those tiny, tiny seeds will be growing into beautiful flowers (I hope)...the wonder of it all!!!!
Blessings,

Aunt Katie,

My signs of spring are:

tulips
shopping for Easter dresses
and jewelry and stuff to go with it
playing outside all afternoon
cookouts
playing on the hammock
new PJs because all your winter PJs aren't going so well anymore because they are too warm
