quiet soft blankets of ice
winter's last dusting.

I woke up to fresh white snow falling on our rooftop.
It was very beautiful as it covered up this boring time of winter
as we await Spring's awakening.
Here's hoping your weekend is dreamy and magical!
Blessings,
Katie

Is it cold or what!!!! I am soooo ready for spring. Looks like next week we're in for some warmth -- just in time for open house. Have a good week. Jan
I LOVE your words! The photo complements it to perfection. I was really disappointed after I turned in my first poem for a 5th-grade English assignment... an A MINUS with the comment: Good, short but good. I dealt with it. I found it about ten years ago and had the best laugh. The title: haiku.
Let's hope it warms up soon!
Wasn't it just beautiful! And I just loved having the chance to coffee and chat Saturday! We need to do that more often.

great post! I'm super excited for spring :) even though we never had no snow.... (it's california after all) I'm hoping a real live nest happening at in our backyard.... (fingers crossed)... xoxo anna
New fallen snow is so beautiful! Until reality strikes and you have to get the shovel. Pretty little verse!
:) It just seems as though winter has worn out its welcome. It has here in MA anyway. Question for you! Is there a special photo or set of images you would like me to work from to create something for your blog? I'm assuming you'll want something for a post or a sidebar since you're so capable of creating beautiful images yourself. Feel free to email me with any image you like blickykitty@comcast.net. I also create Christmas cards and stuff so I do more than just blick.
We were so blessed and thrilled to have snow here too! What a lovelt post. :)
Beautiful haiku!!! Lovely image! I love a little snow to cover this "dirty" time of year. Take care!

Hi Katie dear. I hope you are well. I am having a hard time the season transition myself. It is hard to get excited for spring when it is 55 degrees because it just might snow the next day on you! I wish it would just be one or the other! :)
Such a lovely and serene photo. Although I'm looking forward to Spring, this is truly enchanting with those flakes! Thanks for coming by and visiting me! I so appreciate it....hugs and have a wonderful, artfilled, warm day.
