".. from my ragged heart to yours"

Amazingly the sun began to shine right through my desk window when I started to write this! My husband finished the book he has been reading from to me so I snatched it up from his DQT pile and started reading it. I could not put it down. What to share..what to share... with you today from this thought provoking book,
Velvet Elvis:

Tour Guides

We are not so much called to bring God to a place but to point out that God is already there. In Ron Bell's words,
"So the issue isn't so much taking Jesus to people who don't have him, but going to a place and pointing out to people there the creative, life-giving God who is already in their midst...

... Tour Guides are people who see depth and texture and connection where others don't. That is why the best teachers are masters of the obvious. They see the same things we do, but they are aware of so much more. And when they point it out, it changes the way we see everything."
(from pages 88 & 89 of Velvet Elvis by Rob Bell)

I am going to be a Tour Guide today! Happy Blessed Travels!
(I will be posting pictures from my Spring Break soon! Before you get too excited -- the only thing topless will be my glue stick and hung over will be my latest mixed media art hanger)

It sounds like such a good book! I am so glad that you shared. Do you like to go backpacking? There is A LOT of that in Colorado. I think my husband would make a great guide, he just needs to surrender himself to Jesus. I keep praying that he will have more than he has with Jesus. Happy Easter!

Nice to meet you on the parade trail...

I was looking through some of your older posts and noticed those hooked rugs. Wow, they remind me of "Clair Murry" rugs, she's out of Nantucket MA. I have a few, these look so much like them. I would like to learn how to do that myself. It would be a nice side art next to my knitting.

Happy Easter, Blessings!
