A woman of resolve ~

Resolve

To make a firm decision
To decide, to remove or dispel doubts,
To bring about a usually successful conclusion

I have decided to share some images with you
of women whom I believe show an expression
of resolve

Resolve is a big deal for me these days ~
I have had to face a life altering situation.
I had two ways that I could deal with this
and I chose RESOLVE

It doesn't mean, I didn't shed tears, nor have thoughts
of reckless abandon, but resolve won and I am convinced
that it will lead to a successful outcome.
Please pray for me as I go through
the future unknowing for the first
time in eleven years.

I am so thankful for the Brave Girls Club

and this letter that I printed out
to help me deal with the
big change.

AND

I am grateful for the support I have
in my loving encouraging family
and friends.  Always a source
of unconditional love for
me.  Blessings to you
my friends.

For those who want to know more about why I have MIA for the past few weeks, I have been getting ready for a new school year.  Be sure to visit my classroom blog here.  I have also been dealing with a big change at our beloved community school.  It is being proposed to become a magnet school and with that being said, our teaching staff of around 40 will be dispersed through out the 4 other district elementary schools.  I have grown so close to the other teachers and this new decision has broken my heart in two but I AM RESOLVED to make the best of it! I would so appreciate your prayers. <><

After everything you have been through in the past, I would have been surprised if you had not decided to take the path of resolve. You have an inner strength which is bolstered with the love and support of your family and friends, and I know you will make the most of this new situation.

Keeping you in my thoughts in this uncertain time.

xx

Oh, my dear Katie,
You will be in my prayers. A school is like a family, isn't it? It is so hard when there are changes to things that we take for granted in our every day life. I will pray that you will be able to go forth with resolve but, you know, Katie, I have faith that you will do fine with this. You have such a big, tender heart and I know you will grieve but I bet you will also go on to find new people that you love.
Big hugs, sweetie,
Suz

Dear Katie, even before I read through your post, I saw those images and thought "I need to see these women of resolve today."

I'm so sorry for the changes you are experiencing. I, too, am going through work change as 10 of my colleagues (including my right arm) were laid off yesterday. We will be learning a whole new way of working with new people, new rules, new bosses, new everything. It is frightening, sad, exciting... So, I can know with certainty how you will miss these dear friends from so many years of sharing your work space. Hugs to you.

I will pray for you. Katie, you will be a blessing wherever you are--and you may just end up in a place that really needs you. I love that letter. Thank you for sharing it. I like the woman of resolve. I'll be thinking of that in the weeks to come. Happy New School Year. And know my good thoughts go with you!

Katie, this is a beautiful post. Resolve.....you have really made me examine my own determination. You have inspired me to find my own kind of "resolution" to make my life, each day, the best it can be no matter the circumstances or challenges. lettie
