My Summer List~*

Give others more grace

Spend one day each week
 doing things I really love

Go wading in a stream

Make one new good friend

Lay out on a quilt under the stars

Sew an apron out of an old pair of overalls

Have a picnic in the mountains

Make homemade jelly or jam

Go to an outdoor play or concert
and see the movie The Help

 Visit the farmers market (often)

Go barefoot whenever I can

Let my hair grow

Plant several somethings and watch them grow

Visit my friends whom I don’t get to see
that much during the months I teach,
especially Sally, Barb, Alice, and Dulcy

Talk to my neighbors more

Slow down and enjoy each day
moment by moment
with a thankful heart

I would love to know what are some of the things on your summer list?  Sweet summer blessings
to all of you my friends.  The top photo is from my own personal collection of vintage photos
that I have been collecting for 10 years now.  Be sure to check out my next post when I will
be talking about and sharing a lot of them with you to use however you would wish!

Katie,
What a great list! Really got me thinking. Hummm, let me see.
1.Spend tons of time with my husband & kids.
2. Go camping 3 times.
3. See a falling star while camping.
4. Eat s'mores while camping.
5. Lose 10 pounds after camping trip. LOL
6. Blog more.
Have a great summer!

Superb list! It's too soon for me to be thinking about a summer list - we're still a few weeks away from our time off, but slowing down and enjoying the moment will definitely be one to put high up on the list.

xx
ps that's such a cute photo!

Hi sweet, what a beautiful list of wishes,- I so hope they come true for you, Katie, dear.
My summer is bussy with turists in the shop, and not much time for walking barefooted, or slowing down ,at all. But my looking forward to, is seing my daughter,son-in-law,and the two kids, here next month :)
I just have to slow down a bit when the visits.
Happy summer to you-with hugs, from me.

That's a wonderful list! About the only lists I make lately are grocery lists. We are on summer holiday and I am enjoying piddling in my pajamas every day. I am such a homebody and enjoy every minute of it. Have a fabulous Friday, Tammy

Hi Katie!! Isn't Summer wonderful??? Aren't we so lucky to be able to have it to relish and play with? I hope you are getting some of the list whittled down. I can not wait to see The Help- read the book and loved it. Your list has inspired me to do one of my own- a Summer Bucket List per se... Hugs!!!

This is a great list of summer things to do. I plan to read more often, enjoy all the summer fruits that are available, take lots of art classes, and try to stay cool.

What a good idea to make a list- its so easy to let time go by without getting the things done that are really important to us- I'm going to think about my list today- and then WRITE SOMETHING down.

Hey Katie, first on my list is to say thanks for the sweet note and thanks so much for picking that precious old wicker settee. I just loved it, but didn't have a place for it anymore. It had been in my dining room for ages.
Hope you're having a wonderful summer!
lots of hugs and love,
Debra

Best list ever and more than a few things I need to put on mine! (The Help is already there!) I love posts like this -- they make me think AND give me ideas!
