Ragamuffin Gal

".. from my ragged heart to yours"

~You Say Goodbye ~ But I Say Hello..

Hello 2011 ~
I've been waiting for you!

Pull up a cozy chair and listen to
my Christmas Story #5

After my aneurysm surgery
I faced a long road to recovery.
I so longed to feel "normal" again.

But that was not to be ...

for a very long time.

When I wasn't looking ~

Joy crept inside the door of my life
through a trained sacred arts dancer named Kay Q.
God had graced the Dallas TX area
with this inspiring gal who came back home
from Australia to care for her ill mother.

She taught me a new way to dance,
a new way to pray and worship,
and it strengthened my heart, mind, and soul,
which healed and restored my wounded body.

I will always treasure my moments with Kay
and the lessons she taught me.
The main one being
how joy and hope sneaks into your life
no matter what.

Relyn gave me one of my most favorite
Christmas presents.
It is...

An empty frame!

It represents that one day Relyn
will have one of her own
very special photos
to put inside of this
frame for me!
(I cannot wait to see what it will be!)

God also has something waiting for you
in this currently empty frame of 2011.

Are you,
like me,
waiting on tiptoe,
with your nose pressed against
the window pane to see it?

It will be big and beautiful
and will sneak right in
(whether you leave the door open or not)

I can't wait!!!!

Happy Happy New Year Friends!
With many blessings poured out on
Top!!!

~ Katie

(Photos are from my own collection and the Dec. British Edition of
Country Living, and my Dance Ministry inspiration board.)

What a beautiful post! So glad to find a kindred soul--who knows joy is always just below the surface, even in the darkest of times. I guess knowing great sadness makes every small joy more joyous! Bless you, dear girl! Wishing you a wonderful 2011!
