~*the tea cups great escape!**

Meet The Teacups

3 ordinary women who went on an extrodinary escape from
their current reality.

Fueled by coffee, tea, diet coke, and laughter, with the need to
get out of town for the weekend!

Sorry this is so washed out ~ I need a new camera
and until then I will play around with it in photoshop
until it looks somewhat presentable.
(I just really liked this photo!)

Can you guess where we went yet?

Our Breakfast table at our condo and
 the book we arestudying together
this summer, which is why we dubbed
ourselves The Tea Cups.

Not all of our meals were as elegant
and refined.  At Joe's Crab Shack
we ate two dishes of hush puppies!

Some of the shops we visited were
a little over the top for me!

This flea market, which had several antiques and
cowboy memorbillia was more my style.
I really loved what the Duke is saying
on this sign:

Courage is being scared to death
but saddling up anyway.

What are you saddling up for this summer?

Any good books that you would like to share?

or fun memories you've made?

I would love to hear from you on this ~

I'll leave you with this quote
(from a friendship book one of the
teacup queens gave me this weekend)

I have learned that to have a good friend
is the purest of all God's gifts,
for it is a love that has
no exchange of payment.
(Frances Farmer)

Wishing you joy, love, and grace
this week!

Love to all of you!
Katie

Well that post put a smile on my face! I so wish I could be a Tea-cup! I'm reading a wonderful book at the moment by John Connolly called 'The Book Of Lost Things'. It's really thought provoking and magical. I'm lovin' it. What a beautiful quote that is about friendship - true friendship, that is hard to find and so precious when discovered. Love to you, xxx

Looks like you had a great time Katie! I got the thank you gift! It is so sweet. I still haven't taken it out of the plastic packaging. I just keep staring at it. :) Thanks you so much!

I've read "The Help" by Kathryn Stockett--absolutely the best book I've read in a few years. Now, I've started "The Ride of Our Lives" by Mike Leonard. It is the true story of his cross country RV trip with his elderly parents and grown children--one last chance to spend time with his folks. I love his wit!

I had to zero in on that book to see what it was. Looked it up on Amazon. Haven't read her books before...but I'm always looking for studies for women's groups. Love the pictures....I like what you did in photoshop, too! Hugs!
