LoVeLy ThiNgs All ArouNd Us! ~ Just LOOk!

I have decided for my first post in 2010 to focus on
LoVeLy ThiNgs
that I have found
around me.

I want to set a goal to focus on these things
all through out 2010 ~

~ Like the snow on my back deck
with a single set of kitty
footsteps right down the middle.

~ The LoVe of friends as they rally around
and lift up in prayer the fragile life

~ This beautiful blue dress found on Flickr
that shows the lovely creative mind of its Artist ~
Louise Richardson

What are the beautiful ~
LoVely ThiNgs
 in your life this
January?
I would love to hear of them!
Blessings My Friends!

My new header and last photo was created from bottles and items
I received and made as Christmas gifts. For more creations made over
my break ~ visit my studio blog. I will be adding more pictures on it soon.

An apology to all my blog friends during my long absence from the blogsphere.
I have been living life outside of my computer.  I plan to visit and catch up with all
of you during this snowy cold day away from school.

Some lovely things in my life:

* blog friends * time to spend hours in the internet today if I want - I do * two walls in my living room full of books * a fire in the fireplace * music, especially Yo Yo Ma Plays Ennio Morricone * Elizabeth Berg's oldest novels * handmade journals * colored ink pens * my new rug from Turkey * a secret project I've been working on * drifts and piles of gorgeous white, making the world glisten and shine in the sun *

Love you.

Hi Katie! I am so glad you got the card and little gift! When I saw it at a craft show- I totally thought of you! I hope, though that it did not appear with postage due on it. Not my intentions at all and I profoundly apologize if it did! Rumor has it you had a snow day. Lucky! I could use one of those right about now!And we even had a major snowstorm- it's actually still snowing. LOL!!! Have a wonderful weekend~~~

I've missed you, but I understand not letting a blog/computer run your life! As for the lovely, let's see...

my daughters and husband, a warm/clean house, the smell of bread baking, snow days, a great photo, phone calls from Dad or the siblings, sunlight streaming through the window...

Hey there sweetie,

I just love your new blog header! Thanks for sharing the flickr photo of that blue dress - made me go and check out that incredible artist. And it gave me some ideas of what do do with some of the vintage stuff I have stored about.....

Hi there. I followed you here from the Three Muses Challenge (I'm one of the Muses - Maria also known as Ozstuff).
Your blog page is SCRUMPTIOUS, especially your blog header.
I haven't found your angel-themed picture yet but I may be missing something obvious which is one of my shortcomings.
I am so pleased to have found my way to your most beautiful blog.

I'm another of the 3 Muses. I found your angels (and they're wonderfully done), but could not find a place to leave a comment, so I found my way here. I, too, love your blog banner, and your blog is a joy to see!

Oh, how I wish you allowed comments on your studio blog... I LOVE the necklace you made! I really like that it is on a thin wire and not some overdone chain or tattered ribbon.

Your last photo here of the beautiful altered bottles has me thinking.. WHY don't I just alter some? I have a large collection that sits in their original, foggy, grungy state in a box on the back porch. Don't know what I am waiting for. I guess a for the creative moment induced by frustration when I tell myself, "go DO something with those bottles!" Or for my husband to threaten to throw them out. Whichever comes first! haha

It's good to focus on the lovely things of January - otherwise the cold and early darkness will settle in our bones!
